  • Ginger paste= 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger= 1 inch piece in Julian cut
  • Lemon juice= 2 tablespoon
  • Green chili= 5 to 6
  • Dry roast coriander crushed= 1 teaspoon
  • Dry roast cumin seeds powder= 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili flakes= 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper= 1 teaspoon
  • Salt= as you required
  • Fresh green coriander= for garnishing only
  • Water= as you need

Recipe:

I have cooked the chicken very well and until smoke comes out (you keep some green chilies, ginger julienne cut, and lemon juice for garnishing your dish).

we are going to add the salt and going to cook it with the lid on until the chicken cooks. The chicken and tomatoes will also release their own water as you can see the chicken and tomatoes have released water and the gas turn high. now put it on medium heat than dry the water and cook it, at the same time the chicken is half cooked and now I'm going to cook it fully. now the water is starting to dry up it took more than 5 minutes.

now we are going to cook it a really nice color has come and you can see how much gravy there is because of the tomatoes and garlic and ginger paste we have to cook it for 10 minutes. as you can see the water has dried up and oil has been released I'm still cooking it's only been 5 minutes of very slow heat and cook it for 5 minutes more at this stage.

I'm going to add some green chili, lemon juice, dry roast coriander crushed, dry roast cumin seeds powder fresh coriander and some Julian cut ginger and mix well. we are keeping some fresh coriander and some Julian cut ginger for garnishing. The chicken karahi has cooked. now I'm going to add the final touch with some green coriander, Julian cut ginger, and some green chili and lemon juice.

Now we cooked the chicken for more than 2 minutes with the gas and the lid on. I added some dry roast cumin seeds powder and dry roast crushed coriander and now I'm going to turn off the gas. The chicken karahi is ready now you serve it.
